Shirley Anita Neal-Parker was born on August 28, 1949. She was the first daughter of Pearl Shelton and Leon Neal. She has one brother, Leon Neal Jr. and one sister, Pamela Chavous. She married Andre Dasent in 1970 and has a daughter Erika Dasent. She married James Parker in 1979 and had another daughter Amirah Parker.
